Melissa Henry Gray, of Oneonta, AL went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2013 at the age of 46. Born in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Jackson and Geneva Henry. She is also preceded in death by twin daughters, Marlena Gray and Melissa Alexis Gray, and brother, John Robert Henry.
Ms. Gray was employed for many years at the Walmart in Oneonta as well as a Training Technician for the ARC of Jefferson County.
She is survived by daughter, Jasmine Nicole Gray and son, David Brandon Henry both of Oneonta; sisters, Margaret Ann Burrows (Leonard) of Center Point and Mary Nell Henderson (Romero) of Oneonta; brothers, Steven Jackson of Oneonta, John Jackson of Coshocton, OH, David Henry of Huntsville, William Henry (Julianne) of Sylacauga, Barry Henry (Tinley) of Gadsden and Patrick Henry (Rhonda) of Center Point; a host of nieces and nephews; and aunts, Mary Alice Henry and Virginia Henry both of Oneonta.
Pastor Rodney Franklin will officiate funeral services on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11AM from World Outreach Center in Oneonta with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery. Ms. Gray will lie in state at Lemley Funeral Home on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 5PM until 8PM and on Saturday at the church from 9AM until service time.
