Jacob Andes, aged 46 years died at the family residence 595 North James street last night. Three years ago he was stricken with paralysis and had been an invalid ever since. Ten days ago he was complied to take to his bed and never rallied from the shock. Deceased is survived by a wife, five sons and two daughters. They are: Michael, Harry, Joseph, Lawrence, Eugene, Katie and Pauline. Mr. Andes was employed as harness maker for Linderman & Skeer until the firm closed down its Stockton collieries. Funeral announcement later.

Jacob Andes was buried on Saturday afternoon, the funeral taking place from his late residence on James street, at 2 o'clock. Services were conducted in the Trinity Catholic church and interment followed in the Trinity cemetery at Laurel Hill.
