Kenneth Eugene Conley, 53, of Portsmouth, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013, at his home.
He was born November 1, 1959 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Lewis Edward and Wanda Mae Pertuset Conley.
Kenny was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a Marine Corp veteran. He was a 1979 graduate of Valley High School and the Scioto County Joint Vocational School. A jack of all trades, he worked at several jobs in the Portsmouth area throughout his life.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Dennis Edward Conley and Karen Conley Brewer.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Louise Wade Conley, whom he married October 25, 1986, in Portsmouth, a son, Heath Zachariah "Leo" Conley of Portsmouth, a sister, Angela (James) Wellman of Huntington, WV., and a special friend, Elaine Harris.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, with Reverend Adam Streitenberger officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Military graveside rites will beconducted by the James dickey Post Honor Detail.
The family will receive friends at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
In honor of Kenneth's service to our country, the flag of theUnited States Marine Corps will fly at the funeral home
Tuesday and Wednesday.
