Camden-Catherine ‘Tess' Haley Gardner, 94, Preston Hill, passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2012. She was born September 17, 1917, a daughter of John & Cora Taft Plunkett in Rome, NY. On June 25, 1938, Catherine was joined in marriage to Lauren C. Haley, in St. Peter's Church, Rome, NY. Lauren passed away November 29, 1968.
For over twenty-nine years she dedicated her service to the Rome Developmental Center as a Ward Charge. Catherine lived in Camden for the past twenty–eight years and was a member of the Arthur S. Moran American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving Catherine are two daughters, Mary ‘Weegie' Pickard and Catherine T. Morgan, two sons, William & Sally Haley and Timothy P. Haley, all from Camden, ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Leona Haley, Brenda Plunkett, and Ginny Haley, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Lauren C. ‘Luke' Haley and twelve siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 12:00 noon, at the LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rome, NY.
