The father and daughter involved in a weekend murder-suicide have been identified as Jeramie D. King, 28, and Jakyla D. King, Milwaukee police said Monday.
King reportedly shot his 6-year-old daughter to death Sunday and then committed suicide after fighting with the child's mother Sunday.
Police said the couple got into a physical confrontation Sunday morning and the woman later stopped at a police station after her work shift ended about 12 p.m. to report the domestic violence. Police then went to the home near N. 51st St. and W. Fairmout Ave.
The man and child each had one bullet wound and were dead when police arrived.
A vigil is planned at the house Monday evening.
