Funeral services for Danny Belcher of Kemp were held on Monday, March 25, 2013 under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kemp, at First Assembly of God Church in Kaufman with Brother Jerry Groom and James Wallace officiating. Interment followed the funeral at Kemp Cemetery.

Danny was born Oct. 20, 1951 in Terrell to parents Carroll Travis Belcher and Lillian (Shelton) and entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2013 at the age of 61.

Danny will be remembered as having a kind, caring heart. He enjoyed going to Purtis Creek, fishing and reading Western and Mystery novels. Danny loved his dog, Trey; he liked to go camping in their RV and went to the Guadalupe River every year. He attended Kemp Schools where he was the kicker for the football team and received a football scholarship to college. His lifetime career was with TVEC where he was the Safety Coordinator.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and great-nephew.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Patty Belcher of Kemp; daughter, Amy Hefley Holt, Angie Briggs, Colleen Belcher, Julie Estes; sons, Tracy Estes, Tim Estes; "big" sister Carolyn Brown; "baby" sister, Debbie Biven; special friend, Greg Starek; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
