Norman Roger "Jake" Arthur, son of Clyde and Mildred Arthur passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
Born in Warren, Pa., Sept. 11, 1937, he was raised in a small town between Russell, Pa. and Akeley, Pa. He loved camping, riding his motorcycle, car racing, and was a member of the CB Club for many years. He was a longtime employee of Marlin Rockwell, where he spent 37 years and 12 years at Hale Sunoco.
Norman married Sharon Letten in 1963, and lived in Jamestown until 1988 when they moved to Ashville, N.Y. He lived there with his wife until he was moved to Heritage Green Nursing Facility.
Surviving Norman are his wife, Sharon Letten Arthur; three sons: Timothy Arthur from Cassadaga, N.Y., Randall Arthur (wife, Melissa Arthur) and Troy Arthur (wife, Anna Arthur), both from Anderson, Ind.; nine grandchildren: Kacey Shelters, Brady McIntyre, Felicia Cardone-Tefft, Thadius Arthur, Zachariah Arthur, Miranda Arthur, Sarah Arthur, Rachel Arthur and Shane Jenkens; two great-grandchildren: Grace Shelters and Kendra Kepler; and two sisters: Betty Bloomgren from Sugar Grove, Pa., and Gladys Jones from Warren, Pa.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and seven brothers.
