CANDOR - Margarette E. Forrester, 69, of Smith Street, Candor, NY, died Friday, January 5, 1996 at Lourde's Hospital, Binghamton, NY.
Born in Carmen, Oklahoma on July 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William Leslie and Irene Wilt Cook.
She was predeceased by her son, Richard "Tiny" Forrester in 1992.
Mrs. Forrester is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jack Forrester of Candor. A son, Ronald R. Forrester of Anderson, SC. She is also survived by an aunt, Thelma Oller of Kingman, KS, an uncle, Darwin Cook of Medicine Lodge, KS; three grandchildren and several cousins.
Friends were invited to call at the Candor Funeral Parlour Inc., Candor, NY on Tuesday, January 9. Funeral and committal services were held on Wednesday, January 10, with the Reverend Arlyce W. Kretschman of the First Baptist Church of Owego officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Forrester's memory may be made to the Candor Emergency Squad, 58 Main Street, Candor, NY 13743 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 634, Owego, NY 13827.
