Folk Figure. A confederate drifter who got the best of "Wild Bill" Hickok in a poker game, taking his money and his prized pocket watch. Hickok asked him not to wear the watch in public. He wore it the very next day and Hickok quickly sought revenge. They met in the public square of Greene County, Missouri and Hickok was a much faster draw. Hickok immediately surrendered to the sheriff but was subsequently found not guilty due to "reasonable doubt". Hickok walked away a free man.
