Betty Waldman

Betty Bell Brookshire Waldman, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009.

She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank. She was the owner and operator of Bettys Beauty Shop in Hixson.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, William T. Brookshire; and her second husband, James P. Waldman.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Celia Brookshire, of Murfreesboro, and Dr. Don and Carol Brookshire, of Signal Mountain;

five grandchildren, Shannon Shults, Thomas and John Brookshire, of Murfreesboro, Logan and Andrea Brookshire, of Signal Mountain; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Gabriella Shults, of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Martha Bell Cunningham, of Chattanooga and Ethel Bell Carter, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Roberson officiating.

Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
