Mr. Joe L. Owen, age 58, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born on May 25, 1954 in Cedartown. He was the son of the late Eunice Owen and Edna Reeves Owen.
Mr. Owen is survived by his loving wife, Wilma Strickland Owen; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Melinda Owen; three grandchildren, Alicia Owen, Brooke and Taylor Hester and one- great-grandchild, Annaleigh Gracie Joe Owen.
Mr. Owen is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Howard Owen.
In keeping with Mr. Owen's wishes he was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. Owen will be conducted on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at seven o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Swift officiating.
The family of Mr. Owen will receive family and friends on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from six o'clock in the evening until the memorial service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.
