Former Resident Dies Saturday; Interment Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Horne Bean, 64, a former Richfield resident, who died at her home in Salt Lake Saturday of a lingering illness, were held at noon in the Waterloo ward, Salt Lake, after which the body was brought to Richfield for burial and brief services were held at the graveside in the city cemetery at 6 o'clock in the evening. It had been Mrs. Beans request that the services be not elaborate. G. W. Coons, an old friend of the family and bishop while Mrs. Bean lived in Richfield, was the only speaker. President E. W. Poulson dedicated the grave.

The services in Salt Lake were characterized by a large attendance of relatives and friends, and many beautiful floral offerings. Judge and Mrs. N. J. Bates and Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Clark, who were in Salt Lake at the time, were among the Richfield people attending. A large crowd of relatives and friends joined the family for the brief services held here. All of Mrs. Beans children, with their wives or husbands, accompanied the body to Richfield. Others who came here for the burial services were Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Horne and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Roy Horne, T. J. Yates and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Tate, Mrs. Margaret Klenke, and Mrs. Emily Payne, all of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Owen Horne of Kaysville. The family and friends met at the home of Mrs. Bean's father, Jos. S. Horne, following the services. The out-of-town people attending have all returned to their homes except Mrs. Payne, who will extend her visit here a while.

Mrs. Bean was born Oct. 13, 1869, at Gunnison, the daughter of Joseph S. and Lydia Ann Weiler Horne. In 1878 she moved with her widowed father and his family to Richfield where she met M. L. Bean whom she married Nov. 12, 1890. Mr. Bean died on May 25, 1910, and in October 1919, Mrs. Bean went to Salt Lake to make her home.

Surviving are her father, living in Richfield, and the children: Mrs. Lydia Anderson, Venice, Cal., Joseph M. and Eugene E. Bean both of Salt Lake; Mont L. Bean of Portland, Oregon; Stanford Bean of Wenatchee, Wash., and twelve grandchildren; also the following brothers and sisters: J. L. and Wm.R. Horne, Mrs.Margaret Kienke and Mrs. Florence Tate, Salt Lake; Mrs. J. W. Parks, Richfield; Mrs. Leona Couch, Moreland, Ida., Mrs. Edna Workman, Delta, O. W. Horne, Kaysville, Aaron E.
