Camden-Spencer ‘Red' G. Davis, 87, of 8 Masonic Avenue, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at his home with his family by his side. He was born a son of Myron P. and Elizabeth Baulf Davis on December 8, 1924, in Stittville, NY. Red was a 1943 graduate of Camden High School, and received an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Morrisville College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State College. He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946. Red was united in marriage to the former Altha L. Lawrence on September 14, 1957 in Camden, NY. After forty-four years of marriage, Altha passed away on April 9, 2002. He was formerly employed for the United States Postal Service for twenty-nine years as a postal clerk in Camden until his retirement in 1984. Red was a member in the American Legion Moran Post #66, VFW Post # 6530, Philanthropic Lodge F & AM #164, Darius Chapter #144 RAM, Rotica Council #12, Rome Commandry #45, Ziyara Shriners, and United York Rite College #127.

Red is survived by two daughters, Denise & Kevin Barry, West Pittston, PA, and Laurie Waldron, Camden, NY, two sons, Dennis & Diana Davis, Camden, NY, and Bradley Davis, Westdale, NY, six grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Arron, Casey, BrittHanie, and Bradley, Jr., sister, Marilyn Fragapane, Rome, NY, two sister-in-laws, Norma Davis, Silver Spring, FL, and Naome Bush, Lafayette, NY, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, a sister, Dorothy Carlsson, a brother LeRoy Davis, and a son-in-law, Scott Waldron.
