ALTO - Funeral service for Juanita Hicks, 67, of Alto will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Alto with the Revs. Don Copeland and Josh Luellen officiating. Burial will be in the Lynches Chapel Cemetery under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home, Alto.

Mrs. Hicks died Oct. 2, 2009, in Lufkin. She was born Jan. 25, 1942, in McKinney to Walter M. and Rosie Clark Hooper. She lived most of her life in Alto and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto. She was a co-owner and operator of the Hicks Post Company. She is preceded in death by her son, Billy Hicks; parents, Walter and Rosie Hooper; sisters, Naomi Wilson and Lillie Vansicle; and stepdaughter, Johnita Jacobs.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Alton Hicks, Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Amy Hicks, Alto, Kenneth and Gay Hicks, Alto, Larry and Cynthia Hicks, Alto; brothers, Kyle Hooper, Allen, Walter Hooper Jr., Madill, Okla., and Mike Hooper, San Angelo; sisters, Mildred Hooten, Dallas, Glenda Pyle, Pottsboro, Debbie Hamill, Hugo, Okla.; grandchildren, John Hicks, Shanna Selman, Josh Hicks, Jake Hicks, Jorden Hicks, Brian Hicks, Adam Hicks, Sartina Palacios, Julie Page, Kayley Starr and Dalton Starr; great-grandchildren, Katlynn Hicks, Josie Selman, Case Hicks, Tarren Treadaway, Bryan Little and Daisy Little; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hicks, Adam Hicks, Jake Hicks, John Hicks, Randy Selman, Jason Hooper, Bobby Reece, Dalton Starr, Bryan Little and Josh Hicks.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
