Winifred Jean “Winnie” King, 91, of League City, Texas, and formerly of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Texas.
She was born March 4, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Scottish parents, Elizabeth (nee Murray) Kelly and Charles Kelly, who immigrated to the U.S. in the early 1900s.
Peter King Jr. and Winifred J. Kelly were married Aug. 10, 1946. They raised two children in Union, N.J.
Her husband passed away in 1979 and She moved to Webster, Texas, to be near family in 2002, enjoying many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her later years.
She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Winifred J. Boyle of Seabrook, Texas; son, Peter C. King of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
