Margery Moore Taylor Miller
(November 3, 1916 - June 19, 2013)

MILLER, Margery Moore Taylor, was born on November 3, 1916 in West Virginia, and passed away on June 19, 2013 in Richmond, Virginia.
Her childhood was spent in Richmond with her parents, Lucile Campbell and James G. Moore. Proficient in languages, she became a valued employee of Universal Leaf Tobacco, where she often translated documents into Spanish. She married Jaquelin E. Taylor and later had a TV show on Richmond's Channel 6 called "Stories for Children," in which she read to the children gathered around her. Her gift for languages led her to teach French and Spanish at a number of Richmond area schools, among them St. Christopher's and St. Catherine's and at the University of Richmond, from which she had a M.A. in English.
In later years she met and married Edward M. Miller of Richmond. They enjoyed cruises and educational trips with Elder Hostel. Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter, Lucy Taylor of Pismo Beach, California.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Rd., Richmond, Virginia 23220, would be deeply appreciated.
