Mrs. Mary Crombie, a prominent resident of Brownhelm died Saturday evening at 7 o'clock at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Crombie was born in Scotland in 1848. She was married to David Crombie in 1854? Mr. Crombie came to America in 1866 and was followed a few months later by his wife. They settled in Brownhelm and resided there during the remainder of their life. Mr. Crombie died in 1882. Mrs. Crombie was the mother of seven sons and two daughters, of whom four sons and the daughters survive. They are John, David, Andrew and Robert Crombie and Mrs. Peter Moore and Mrs. Ray Opperman.
The funeral service was conducted from late home today at 1 o'clock.
