Mary Emily Spradlin Hornsby (October 31, 1894-July 15, 1988) was the second child of William Frances Spradlin and Florence Anderson Smith Spradlin. She was born in Prattville, Alabama and lived most of her young life there. Her siblings were Ida Spradlin (Pruett), William Frances (Bill) Spradlin and Ranna Ocia (Pat) Spradlin. Her children were Jesse H. (Jack) Hornsby and Margaret Florence Spradlin Hornsby. Wetumpka, Alabama was her home from about 1927 to her passing in 1988. "Granny" was a most beloved grandmother to her four grandchildren, whom she helped to raise. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman and is missed today by all who knew and loved her.
