She was born in Donovan, Illinois on February 19, 1922 to Bessie Diercouff and Leo Changnon. She attended Kankakee Illinois Public School and Illinois State Normal University. She married Col. Roland A. Perry, USAF and moved with him through a 30 year career. She retired from Prince Georges County Public Schools after teaching at Lord Baltimore Junior High. Following retirement she served as a docent at Woodlawn Plantation and became a member of the Mt. Vernon Chapter of Quilters Unlimited.
Survivors include three daughters, Karin Blaske, Wheat Ridge, CO, Ellen Perry, Arvada, CO and Jan Douglass, Ft. Collins, CO; son, Roland Gene Perry, Glen Burnie, MD; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Falcons Landing Benevolent Widows Fund, 20522 Falcons Landing Circle, Potomac Falls, VA 20165. On line condolences may be made to the family at
