Wanda M. Howell, 88, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. Wanda was born on September 22, 1927 in San Francisco, California to Jesse & Iva Holland Kitchens. She attended several schools in the Pittsburg County area. She was married to George T. Howell on January 5, 1948 in Arpelar. Wanda was a member of the Stuart Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to embroider all of the time. She loved to garden & fish and enjoyed canning. She also enjoyed working and growing her flowers. Wanda enjoyed spending time with her kids and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: George T. Howell, her son: Gideon “Frank” Howell, brother: Lee Kitchens, son-in-law: Lester Belvin, and sisters-in-law: Beverly Kitchens and Mae Howell. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Sherry Cates. Interment will be at Pryor Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
