Karl F. Moore Jr., of Burghill, passed away at 2:12 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System following a sudden illness. He was 54.
Mr. Moore was born in Sharon on June 18, 1959, a son to Karl F. Moore Sr. and Betty (Voyda) Moore-Mortimer.
A 1976 graduate of Brookfield High School, he was proud to serve his country in the Army.
Following his discharge, he worked with his father laying carpet. Eventually, he became a self-employed carpet installer, working more than 20 years at Moore's Carpets before he set down his carpet stretcher for the last time. He had also laid carpet for Knott's Interiors.
In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle; working his Sudoku puzzles, crosswords and picture puzzles; taking road trips; going to the Jamboree in the Hills; listening to country music, especially Hank Williams Jr.; sitting on the front porch drinking his hazelnut coffee; and cheering on his Cleveland Browns.
