Suggested edit: Mrs. Betty J. Byers, age 89 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020. She was born December 20, 1930, the daughter of the late Mr. Julius Panter and the late Blanche Panter. Mrs. Byers was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hayden Harold Byers; brothers, Wallace Panter, Sam Panter, Bob Panter; sisters, Judy Allen and Rachel Turner.
Mrs. Byers is survived by daughters and sons-in-laws, Debbie and Tim Furr of Villa Rica, Georgia; Donna and Jim Shaw of Jefferson, Georgia; son, Jeff Byers of Marietta, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Jack Hughes of Chattanooga, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Josh, Timmy, Daniel, Amber, Jeffery, Joseph and Summer; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park.
Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville is in charge of the arrangements.
