On June 4, 1955, Georgine married Earl Lynnes in Cooperstown and they made their home in Walcott, ND, where they farmed until they moved to Fargo. Georgine worked for many years as a nurses aide for St. Luke's Hospital, and received an excellence award for her hard work in October of 1997. In December of 1989, Earl died and Georgine continued to make her home in Fargo.
On December 15, 1990, Georgine married Burnett Hanson in Fargo, where they made their home. They enjoyed socializing and traveling in their motor home. Burnett died in December of 1997.
Georgine died on Sunday, February 27, 2005, in MeritCare Medical Center, at the age of seventy.
Georgine loved the outdoors and went camping often. She always remembered special events and would send a card for every occasion. She was a very compassionate, loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities.
Georgine is survived by two sons, Michael (Rose) Lynnes, Fargo, and David (Carrie) Lynnes, West Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her step-father, Art Simonson, Cooperstown; two brothers, Jergen (Beverly) Soma, Cooperstown, and David (Lisa) Soma, Mandan, ND; three sisters, Kaaren Soma, North Carolina, Peggy Soma, St. Paul, MN, and Karla (Larry) Rislov, Badger, MN.
