Anna (Geiger) Yeske of West Hartford died peacefully on Tuesday, (March 2, 2010). She was born in New Britain, CT, to her late parents Leopotine (Zotter) and Joseph Geiger.

She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest A. Yeske; her twin brother, George Geiger; and her brother, Joseph Geiger, Jr. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ernest A. and Carole Yeske, Jr. of Niantic, CT; her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Bob Joy of Taos, NM; and her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Craig Fleming of Farmington, CT. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Ashley Fleming of Plymouth, NH and Eric Fleming of Manchester, NH; and her precious great-granddaughter, Bailey Fleming of Manchester, NH. She is also survived by her sister, Josephine Pulcini of Kensington, CT; her brother and sister-in- law, Carl and Louise Geiger of Forestville, CT; her brother, William Geiger of New York, NY; her brother and sister-in-law Ray and Gay Geiger of Wilson, NC; and her sister-in-law, Helen Geiger of Newington, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Anna lived in Collinsville, CT for almost 70 years before moving to the Gables in Farmington, CT where she met her wonderful friend, Irene Sopelek. Then she moved to the Clark Housing Authority in Glastonbury, CT. Anna was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, watching every game, and enjoying this pastime with the all of her family. Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Reservoir for providing such excellent care for the past three years.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation of Farmington Exchange Club P.O. Box 452 Farmington, CT 06034, the Westbrook Elks, Westbrook, CT, or the Niantic Rotary, Niantic CT. Burial arrangements will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. A notice about a memorial will appear at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc.
