Lorraine N. Schiefelbein, age 79, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Oshkosh on September 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Francis and Tillie (Lenz) Fitzpatrick. Her marriage to Lloyd Schiefelbein took place at grace Lutheran Church on September 5, 1942. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1969.
Surviving are her children, Janet (Jugo) Paulick, Sue (Paul) Saray and Charles Schiefelbein (Deb and her daughter Jessica Kortbein) all of Oshkosh; grandchildren, Martin (Julie Sherman0 Paulik, Benjamin (Karen) Paulik, Michael (Michelle) Saray, Melissa (Scott) Wesenberg and Matthew Saray; great-grandson, Andrew Saray; 4 step-grandchildren, Julie (Jim) Jansen, Michael (Chris) Paulik, Tim Paulik and Dan (Kathy) Paulik; sisters, Patsy (Vic) Gilbert and Colleen (Ted) Furman both of Oshkosh; 11 step- great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Walter and Harold Fitzpatrick and sisters Germaine Walters and Louise VanHandel, preceded her in death.
Lorraine had worked for and managed the former Banner Variety Store. She was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church and a Tuesday evening women's cribbage league.
Services for Lorraine will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street. The Rev. Greg Schoeneck will officiate. Interment will follow in Ellenwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday beginning at 11:30 a.m.
