Services for Fred A. Shadle, 81, of 831 W. Maple St., Valley View, who died at his home on Tuesday morning will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Buffington Funeral Home, Valley View.

The Rev. Lee Snyder, pastor of Church of God, Valley View, will officiate.

Interment will be held at Fountain Community Cemetery, Hegins area.

Born in Hegins Township on July 14, 1903, he was a son of the late Fred and Lydia Yerger Shadle.

He was a member of Church of God, Valley View.

Mr. Shadle was employed by the Pennsylvania Power and Light Co.

He was also a past president and active member of Valley View Fire Company and a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens, Loyal Order of Moose, Tower City, and the Retired Club of PP&L.

Mr. Shadle was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Tillie Ney, in 1963.

Surviving are his second wife, the former Anna Kissinger, nieces and nephews.
