Geneva (Judy) Dillard Warriner longtime Paoli resident passed away Thursday, June 20 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, Indiana. She had lived in the Indianapolis area near her daughter Beth Fletcher and son-in-law John Fletcher for the past five years after residing all her life in Paoli.

Judy was born January 29, 1918 near Orleans, Indiana to James Dillard and Leota Edwards Dillard(Lane.) She was raised in Paoli by her mother and her grandmother Daisy Trinkle Edwards and looked after them in later years. She was a 1935 graduate of Paoli High School and attended Eariham College.

In 1942 she married Victor Warriner of Salem and they operated the Welcome Inn Restaurant on the Paoli square for many years. Later in life she worked for the Orange County Highway Department as a secretary. She was a longtime member of Delta Chapter of Tri Kappa in Paoli and later a member of the Associate Tri Kappa group. She was a member of Paoli Friends Meeting.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vic Warriner who passed away in 1989. Three daughters and their spouses survive: Karin Cobb (William) of Georgetown, Texas; Janis Easterday (Phillip, Jr.) of Orleans, Indiana and Beth Ann (John) Fletcher of Noblesville, Indiana. Judy is also survived by her four grandchildren: Kathryn Cobb of Columbus, Ohio; Jason Cobb of Scottsdale, Arizona; Nicholas Fletcher (Anne) of Fishers, Indiana and Andrew Fletcher (Nicole) of Wolcottville, Indiana. Also surviving are three great grand daughters: Paige Fletcher, Caroline Cobb and Kimber Fletcher. Two more great grandchildren will join the family this summer. She is also survived by four step-grand daughters and eight step-great grandchildren.
