Funeral services for Sherry S. Rushing, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rushing, 67, died Oct. 31, 2011, at her home. She was born in Tylertown on July 1, 1944, to Edward Ellis Spence and Molly Stogner Spence.
She was a housewife and a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and son-in-law, Jack Calloway.
Survivors are her husband, James Rushing; son, Edward Rushing and wife, Melissa, of Brookhaven; daughters, LaNelle Womack and husband, Mike, of Princeton, Texas, and Mary Elizabeth Calloway, of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Harland Edward Spence and wife, Maureen, of Monticello; seven grandchildren, Monica Meza, Kristen Desha, Ashley Rushing, Jamie Rushing, Molly Foster, Chase Daniels and Anna Grace Rushing; and three great-grandchildren, Brianna Meza, Brooklyn Honea and Braeden Honea.
