MILLER - Vincent Joseph, 84, of Leesburg, Florida, was born May 16, 1929 in Long Island City, New York and died Sunday, June 16, 2013.
He retired from the New York City Police Department in 1976 with 20 plus years of service. He moved to Leesburg in 1999 from the Orlando area. Vincent was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood and St. Paul's Catholic Church, Leesburg. He was passionate and active with Right to Life of Lake County.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ellen "Bunny" Miller of Leesburg, FL; son, Brian (Erin) Miller of Long Island, NY; granddaughter, Samantha Miller; sister-in-law, Grace Miller of California; three step-sons and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 8.30 AM with Father Mark Wajda Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden, Leesburg, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Right to Life, c/o St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1302 Sunshine Avenue, Leesburg, FL 34748.
