Terri Rae Miller was born July 11, 1954 in Dayton Ohio to Mary Motko Miller and Willard Ray Miller. She and her younger sister Sharon Kay Miller (Kain, then Garrettson) grew up in Dayton, Ohio. Her mother Mary died of leukemia when she was only 4 years old. Her father remarried Margaret Ida Takacs (Arnold) and they lived in Englewood, Ohio. Terri married John Kroplin, Jr. He was enlisted in the US Air Force, and they lived in various locations. She had her firstborn son, Matthew Kroplin, and they moved back to Dayton, Ohio. They divorced, and Terri then met Adrian Miller while she worked at Miami Valley Hospital. They married and had a daughter, Jenna Kay Miller. In about 2000, Terri was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and after numerous attempts of experimental therapies, died on February 13, 2003. She is buried near her mother, Mary, and just two rows away from her father and stepmother.
