Fred Harvey, age 90, LaCygne, Kansas passed away on June 19, 2013. He was born on August 16, 1922 at Cadmus, Kansas the son of Glenn and Nellie Collins Harvey. He attended Fairview Country School and graduated from Parker High School in the Class of 1940. He was a farmer and a stockman. He also worked at Taylor Forge in forge control and even worked on parts for NASA. He was a member of the Cadmus Grange #350. He attended Twin Springs Church as a child and later Calvary Baptist. He enjoyed traveling, taking in shows at Branson, dancing and studying family history. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Edith, son John, brother Dale, grandson John David, second wife Arlene, and step son Dennis Van Tuyl. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Cushing and Janet Hetzer, one sister Avis Polley, seven grand and ten great grandchildren, step daughter, Sharon Wilkinson, and step daughter in law, Kelly Van Tuyl.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel. Burial in the Cadmus Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM Sunday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Cadmus Grange. On line condolences for the family can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
