Gainesville - Dwayne Keith Davis, Sr. 47, passed away June 16, 2013 at his home. A Gainesville native he was a 1984 graduate of Gainesville High School. Dwayne was nurtured and became a member of St. Paul CME Church, he later became a member of Passage Family Church.
Survivors include a loving wife Carolyn Pierre-Davis, Gainesville FL; five sons Lorenza Simmons II, Dezmond Davis, Dwayne Davis, Jr., Deion Davis and David J. Davis all of Gainesville, FL; four brothers Harold Price, Jr., Stacey White, Gerald White, (Angie) all of Gainesville, FL, Edward White, Jr. (Mary) Atlanta, GA; three sisters Tonya Davis, Cheryl Renee White, Kimberly Sercey (Fred Sr.) all of Gainesville, FL and two grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Davis will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Upper Room Church of God In Christ Supt. Karl Anderson, & Sheperdess Pearlie Shelton Host Pastors and Elder Johnny Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave Gainesville, FL.
