Ruby Cochran, 89, of Oklahoma City, passed into eternity June 18, 2013, after a brief illness. She was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on January 13, 1924. Ruby attended Nyuka High School for 2 years and graduated from Okemah High School in 1943. Ruby worked as a clerk for the city of Oklahoma City for 23 years before retiring in 1986. The past seven years she lived at Hefner Mansion. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie & JW Bryan Cochran and sister, Laverne McEntire. She is survived by her sisters, Edna Earnest of Okemah, Joyce Newport of Oklahoma City and June Adams and husband RK of Oklahoma City; 7 nephews and 2 nieces. Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Mercer Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N Asbury, Bethany, OK. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Highland Cemetery, Okemah.
