Joyce enjoyed collecting rocks of all shapes and sizes and especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was a longtime member of Woodcrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Curtis Douglas; children Ron Varselona, Mike Novakowski and wife Sung, Jerry Novakowski and wife Kelly, Rick Novakowski and wife Debra, Nowel Kimberlin and husband Jerry, Pete Varselona, Rose Lenhart and husband Larry, Marie Varselona and fiancé Butch and step son Darren Douglas and wife Sherry; sister Lois Calcote; sister-in-law Esmeralda Harms; brother-in-law Sammy Varselona; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie Kelly, brother Jerry Harms, two grandsons, and two sister-in-laws.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
