At the time of his death, he was survived by his mother of Murphysboro; one brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Elaine Herring of Gulf Shores, AL; two nephews, Jeremy Herring and David Herring; one niece, Sara Herring; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
