Allen E. (Mickey) Shuttlesworth, 82, died peacefully at home, June 19, 2013. He was born in Worthington, WV, to John and Josephine (Michael) Shuttlesworth. Allen graduated from Zion Bible Institute, E. Providence, RI, in 1952 and was married shortly after to Carlene (Crawford) Shuttlesworth, whom he had met while there. Together, they began a journey in ministry, which included pasturing several churches and traveling evangelistically throughout the United States and overseas. He was a preacher's preacher, with an extremely generous heart. Many men and women around the world were called and raised up under his ministry. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine Shuttlesworth, brothers, Milford and Cleo Shuttlesworth, sisters, Edith Anderson and Alice Skelley. He is survived by his wife, Carlene, of 61 years; sons, Ted and wife, Bonnie, Tim and wife, Gwen, Tiff and wife, Judy, Terry and wife, Colleen; grandchildren, Ted, Jr., Megan S. Wiley, Matthew, Michaela, and Jonathan Shuttlesworth, Jessica S. Gesualdi, Chelsea, Brooke, Preston, and Grayson Shuttlesworth. Also, great grandchildren, Madelyn, Kaylen, Joel, and Camila. Also surviving, several nieces and nephews. The family thanks everyone who was involved in the care of Allen, especially, the kindness and help of Amedisys-Hospice. Friends may call at the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church on Swisher Hill on Sunday, June 23rd from 3-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24th at 11 a.m. with the sons of Mr. Shuttlesworth officiating.
