Ms. Paula Michele Nelson

Paula Michele Nelson was born November 23, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio. She was the middle child of three children: John, Jr., Paula M., and Carmell L. Anderson.

The family relocated to Pasadena, California in 1964 where she attended Pasadena Elementary School, Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Academy, and graduated from Lynwood Academy. After graduation she attended Oakwood College, where she sang in the Melaphonics Ensemble. Paula later transferred to California State University at Northridge in Northridge, California where she majored in communications. During her matriculation at California State University, Northridge, Paula hosted a radio talk-show that featured discussions on a variety of subjects, and produced corresponding tapes.

Paula and her sister, Carmell, where both baptized at an early age at Berean SDA Church in Los Angeles, California. The family returned to Huntsville, Alabama in 1991, and she attended Oakwood College Church.

Paula was preceded in death by her father and sister. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Alean Middleton, brother John G. Anderson, Jr., aunt Mildred (Raymond) Turner, uncles Charles Mitchell, James Mitchell, Benjamin (Priscilla) Middleton, nieces, Chezzaray White, Abbie Faust, Roxanne Mitchell, Charlene Rodgers, nephews, Michael Dillihay, Todd Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, step-sisters Yvonne (Gary) Martin, Elizabeth Green, step-brothers James Middleton, Jr., Eric Middleton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue, NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Elder Benjamin Jones officiating and Elder Lloyd Wilson eulogizing. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Ms. Nelson will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at the Royal Funeral Home.
