Anne Marie KINDLER

Anne Marie Kindler, 78, died June 4, 2013 after a long illness. Anne was born August 17, 1934 in Palo Alto, CA to Marguerite (Gerdes) and Ralph Young. Her father died when Anne was 6, and she and her mother moved to Coeur d'Alene to reside with her grandmother, Helen Gerdes. Anne attended Catholic schools and was graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary High School as Salutatorian of her class in 1952.

On June 7, 1953 Anne married Frederick "Fritz" Kindler and they lived in the Coeur d'Alene area where they raised their family. Anne was very loving, extraordinarily kind person who loved her family and friends without reservation. She remembered every birthday and special occasion and always went out of her way to make you feel special. Anne also had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly dogs.

Anne sold real estate in Kootenai County for many years, retiring in 1997. She was well known for her honesty and dedication to her clients. She treated each client and their transaction as if it were the most important to her.

Anne is survived by her husband Fritz Kindler of Dalton Gardens; her daughter and son-in-law Dana and Brian Kroetch; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Susan Kindler; and grandchildren Amanda Dodson, Ethan Dodson, and Sarah Kindler. Also surviving her are lifelong friends Phyllis Ereaux and Pat Schauer.

Anne's family would like to thank the staff of Bristol Heights Assisted Living facility for their overwhelming kindness and the loving care they gave Anne. We would also like to thank Hospice of North Idaho for all the help, care, and comfort they provided.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Anne's memory to the Kootenai County Humane Society at PO Box 1005, Hayden, ID, 83835, or to Hospice of North Idaho at 9493 N Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday June 11th at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., in Coeur d'Alene. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, also in Coeur d'Alene. Father Roger LaChance will be presiding. Please visit Anne's online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
