Daughter of Andrew Graham and Elizabeth "Eliza" Warren Graham;

Sister of Andrew Graham, Jr.

Wife of John W. Wallace, whom she married in Lexington, Rockbridge, Virginia on August 3, 1809.

Elizabeth and John are the parents of Samuel Wallace, Hetty Matilda Wallace (Husband is Dr. William Robinson Blair), Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane Wallace (Mrs. Samuel Xerxes Kerr), Angeline Wallace (Mrs. Henry Mish), John Graham Wallace (Wife, Martha Catherine Miller Wallace), James Porterfield Wallace and Robert Warren Wallace (Wife, Lumina J. Luster Wallace).

Elizabeth Graham Wallace died on October 7, 1854 at the age of 68.

She is buried near her Husband and both sets of their Parents, as well as near many other family members. Unfortunately, her Headstone marker no longer exists, as is the case with many of the family members who rest in this Old Lebanon Cemetery.


**Note:
The Old Lebanon Cemetery had been overgrown with thick shrubbery and fallen trees and forgotten for many years; in the early 2000's some wonderful people, including Daley Craig, John Robert Wallace and other family members of those originally buried there, took on the task of restoring the cemetery and attempting to piece together what they could of the broken headstones. Many of the monuments had been partially buried, many others were beyond repair, and many had simply disintegrated. There are some stones remaining that either do not have any writing on them or the writing is so worn that it is no longer legible. (Jane's stone most likely crumbled into ruin.)
We are so grateful to the wonderful, caring people who attempted such a project....they not only restored a cemetery, they restored the memories of our loved ones for future generations. THANK YOU!
