She was born March 19, 1970, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Wally T. Ward and Phyllis Snyder Winans.
On Aug. 16, 2008, at Beverly, she was married to "Turk" Ramsey, who survives.
Also surviving are three brothers, Christopher Lewis and fiancee, Barbie Walling, of Hampton, Va., Bradley T. Ward and wife, Angela D. Ward, and their daughters, Dallas and Morgan, of Parrish, Fla., Larry Lewis Jr. and wife, Tracy, and their sons, Landon and Blake, of Winterville, N.C. One sister, Chandra Ward Ezzelle and husband, David, of Morgantown and their children, Briana, Jayna and Micah; her mother-in-law and father-in- law, Dusty and Nancy Ramsey of Elkins; her stepfather, Richard Winans of Belington; an aunt, Renee' Mick; an uncle, Henry Waggy; many other family and friends; and her dog, Oreo, also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucille Somerville, with whom she enjoyed spending time.
Michelle loved spending time with family and friends. She never met a stranger, and everyone who knew her loved her vibrant personality. Michelle was employed at Armstrong Wood Products prior to her illness. She attended Elkins Church of God and Family Worship Center.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jamie Estep, the Rev. Eli Hostetler and Pastor John Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
