Julia Alley Johnston of Mesquite, Texas, age 89 died Sunday, June 16, 2013
She was preceded in death by parents Clara and John Alley.
She was a graduate of Valley Township High School at Lucasville. She attended Wilmington College where she obtained her BS in Education and taught business courses at Walnut Township High School near Circleville. She then went to Columbus to get a summer job in between teaching sessions and met her future husband, Roy. She worked at DCSC for several years before retiring to raise a family. (Roy passed away in 1989).
She was the mother of 5 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The children are Carol of Garland, TX; Roy (Nikki) of Rockwall, TX; John (Debbie) of Austin, TX; Bryan of Los Angeles, CA; and Larry of San Jose, CA. The grandchildren are Paul (Carrie) Minnella of Frisco, TX; Anita (Will) Nelson of Granbury, TX; Christopher and Stephanie of Austin, TX. The great-grandchildren are Michael and Max of Frisco, TX. She was also preceded in death by sisters Genevieve Martin and Ruth Seebach and brother John Alley. One sister Clare Hahn of Bradenton, FL survives.
Family will receive friends Saturday from 12-1 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:30 PM at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly, OH.
