Fredd I. Sikes, 92, of Volney Center, died Saturday in Warsaw Community Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Sikes had been visiting his son, Clarence H. Sikes of Johnsonburg when he was stricken. He was born in Pittsfield, Mass., but had resided in the same house in Volney Center or the past 65 years. He was till engaged in farming and attended the Bristol Hill Congregational Church. Surviving besides his son,
Clarence are: his wife. Mrs. Grace Houser Sikes, a daughter,
Mrs. Daniel A. Wagner, Fulton; another son, Friend J. Sikes,
Fulton; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a brother,
Thomas C. Sikes of Pittsfield, Mass., and several nieces and
nephews. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
