HARBINGER – Janet Harris Gibbs , 61, died Wednesday, Sept. 18 at her residence. She was a native of Currituck County and a member of Powells Point Christian Church and the Currituck Chapter #218 Order of the Eastern Star. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd William and Bertie Gallop Harris and the wife of E.C. Gibbs of the home. Beside her husband, she is survived by two sons: Jerry Lee Gibbs of Daytona, Fla. and Jon Williams of Garner; a sister, Judy Willis of Harkers Island; a brother, Harold Lloyd Harris of Virginia Beach, Va.; and 2 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Powells Point Christian Church with Glenn White, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
