Bob Frank Chambers, 74, of Dugger, passed away at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004 at his residence. Born Aug. 31, 1930 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Marion P. and Eula (Wright) Chambers. He was retired from XTEX Gearing in Cincinnati and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War from 1948-52. He was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ and the American Legion of Shelburn. Survivors include: two daughters, Pam Brewer and her husband Nelson of Dugger, and Millie Rehmel of Terre Haute; four sons, Gary Chambers, Marion Butch Chambers and his wife Teressa, Bobby Dale Chambers and his wife Robin, and Marty Ray Chambers and his wife Lori, all of Dugger; one brother Roy Bill Chambers and his wife Betty of Dugger; two sisters, Becky Deckard and her husband Bobby Lee of Sullivan, and June Smith and Richard Nicks of Gary; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Merriel (Booker) Chambers and three sisters, Mildred Banther, Marge Smitchler and Virginia Tauber. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Shiloh Church of Christ with Bro. J. B. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Woodward Cemetery near Dugger.
