John Bowers, a resident of Valparaiso for the past twelve years, died at the home of his son in Chicago Friday morning at 2 o'clock, of dropsy. The deceased had been sick for several months. He was about 65 years old and leaves five daughters, Mrs. D. H. Dillingham, Mrs. Wade Stoddard, Misses Frank, May and Cora Bowers, and three sons, Jay, Harry and Will Bowers.
