"Mary" was a daughter of Edward Bell (1810-1881) and Mary Doolan (1815-1871).

She married William Young Jr. on March 16th, 1865 in Waterloo County.

"Mary" gave birth to 10 children;
1. Lizzie Bell Young 1866-1942.
2. William Young III 1867-1938.
3. Edward Young 1869-
4. Annie Bell Young 1870-1898.
5. Julia Young (McBride) 1872-1950.
6. Carrie Young 1874-1954.
7. Mary Young 1876-
8. James Young 1879-1981.
9. Roland Young 1883-1961.
10. Frederick Young 1886-1965.

Cause of Death: Cholangitas (Inflammation of the Bile Ducts).
Death Age: 69 years, 11 months and 4 days.

DEATH OF MRS. WM. YOUNG
There passed away at the Berlin-Waterloo Hospital Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Mary Bell, widow of the late Wm. Young in her 70th year Deceased had enjoyed good health up to a year ago. In February she was removed to the Berlin-Waterloo Hospital where an operation was performed. This relieved her for a time but she gradually grew worse, passing peacefully away Monday afternoon.

The late Mrs. Young was born near Goderich, Ont., in 1843. On March 17th, 1865 she was married in Waterloo to the late Wm. Young who predeceased her by twelve years. Two daughters, Annie Bell and Mamie Edna (Mrs. J. B. Crawford) have also predeceased her. Eight children and a sister, Mrs. Wm. Harris of Waterloo, and several grandchildren, survive.

The late Mrs. Young was of a cheerful and kindly disposition and be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Waterloo Presbyterian Church since its inception and a member of the Ladies' Aid of the same church.

The funeral, private, was from her late residence, John held St., Waterloo, Wednesday afternoon, at 2.30 to Mount Hope Cemetery for internent.
