The death date of 1816 appears in some published sources, but no justification is given for that year. Enoch had a child born that year.

Enoch Dow was the son of Job Dow and Hannah Pattee of Haverhill, Mass. and Atkinson, New Hampshire. He was married in Goffstown, NH on 15 November 1792 to Phebe BUTTERFIELD, the daughter of Major John Butterfield and Naomi Stevens. The burial location for Enoch is not known. If he died in 1816 as published in some sources, then he is likely not buried in Westlawn Cemetery, where his wife was buried nearly 40 years after his death. It is most likely that he is buried in a family plot in Goffstown, where his infant children were also buried. However, plans are being made to install a cenotaph for him in Westlawn Cem., near his wife.

Children, not linked below:

* Nellie, b. Goffstown 31 May 1807, d. Goffstown 3 July 1810

* William, b. 25 December 1811. It is not know whether or not he is the William Dow, a blacksmith b. NH and aged 59 living in Groton, Vermont in 1870 with wife Lydia R. Dow, 55 (b. VT) and daughter Emma A. Dow, 24, b. VT. This William Dow is buried in Groton Village Cemetery with a birth date of 22 December 1809. It seems plausible that the two could be one and the same.

* Jonathan, b. 22 May 1816. It is not known if he is the one of his name who died in 1872 and is buried in Henniker, New Hampshire.
