Laverne Lee "Bud" Robinson, 90 of Jesup, Ga. died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in the Coastal Manor Nursing Home. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII and is a Purple Heart Recipient. Retiring as a postal mail carrier, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf in his spare time.

Survivors are his wife, Virginia Robinson of Dearborn, Mich.; a daughter, Tammy Parr of Nashville, Mich.; two sons, Kim Robinson of Jesup, Ga., Randy Robinson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Arlene Rutkowski of Manistee, Mich.; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Friday, June 21, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Hipps officiating, along with the American Legion Post 311's presentation of the U.S. Flag. Interment will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M. prior to services at the church.
