Melba Lovene Lynch Bryant, 88, of Corsicana, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 24, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Lovene was born in Navarro County, Texas, to the late Charlie Parham Lynch and Mamie Lee Hix Lynch. On June 9, 1946, she married Boyd C. Bryant. She was a loving wife, devoted to her family. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Blooming Grove, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil, Melvin and William Lynch.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Boyd C. Bryant; daughters, Marilyn Weaver and husband, Kenneth, of Corsicana, and Rhonda Lachman and husband, Thom, of Toronto, ON, Canada; sons, Dennis Bryant, of Corsicana, and Marc Bryant and wife, Debby, also of Corsicana; grandchildren, Bryan and Christy Weaver, Brandi and Steven Spicer, Matthew and Beth Bryant, all of Corsicana, Becky and Bryan Sulton, of Dallas, and Christian Lachman and Gabrielle Lachman, of Toronto, ON, Canada; great-grandchildren, Colby, Cole and Coy Spicer, Briana and Garrett Weaver, Luke Bryant, all of Corsicana; sisters, Marie Beene, of San Angelo, and Billie Joyce Rawson, of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
