James Edward Burton, 68, of Westville died at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday (June 19, 2013) at the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville.
He was born Jan. 26, 1945 to Clarence J. and Betty Pate Burton. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Alan Burton and a sister, Ruth Marie Burton. He married Jean Cosat in 1977. She survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Samantha A. (William) Losher; grandchildren, Mercedes "Sadie" Baybordi, Annabelle Baybordi and Elaina Losher; in-laws, Fred and Mary Cosat; his cousin, Larry Holman; aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Carl Hickman and several brothers- and sisters-in-law.
He served in the U.S. Army.
